Concord Repatriation General Hospital is a 450 bed tertiary referral teaching hospital of the University of Sydney, and provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, critical care and diagnostic services. It is also the Statewide referral centre for the treatment of severe burn injury.

Concord Hospital is situated close to the City on the Parramatta River with expansive views extending to the Sydney Harbour Bridge on one side and the Blue Mountains on the other. The hospital has recently been transformed to meet the challenges of the future with an up market development. The centrepiece of the transformation is a fully glazed seven floor extension with great views and comfortable modern accommodation to rival any hospital. The redevelopment has been designed to maximise the care of patients with wide ranging state of the art equipment

Public transport is available at the door by bus or via a short walk through a beautiful rainforest park to the railway station . There is ample and inexpensive parking on site for staff. A range of recreational facilities is also available, including a swimming pool, billiard table, tennis courts and a gymnasium in the Sports Medicine Institute. The Hospital also offers single room accommodation, subject to availability.

A short distance away from the Hospital is the coffee lover’s paradise. The popular area offers an impressive variety of cafés and restaurants nestled amongst quaint novelty shops. Also within walking distance of the Hospital is Sydney’s newest shopping centre, located on the picturesque waterside of Homebush Bay – home to the Sydney 2000 Olympics. This centre is unique in its style and offers fabulous selection of retail outlets including fashion, homewares, services centres, fresh food retailers, supermarkets and an 8-screen cinema complex.

For those who enjoy the peaceful serenity of nature, the foreshore trails around the Hospital takes in some of the most beautiful historic houses in the area. The extensive picnic grounds and barbeque facilities nearby will also add to the enjoyment of the outdoor experience .
