FACULTY OF NURSING - THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

The University of Sydney, Faculty of Nursing, Professional Development Unit regularly runs a course in respiratory medicine.

The aim of this course is to explore advances in respiratory nursing. It is intended primarily for clinicians who are currently working in the specialty or who may wish to practice in the area. The course may also be of interest to people who want to learn more about respiratory nursing but do not have direct patient/client contact. Case studies and clinical scenarios will be utilised to demonstrate clinical application.

The content includes:

ASTHMA EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION

The Asthma Educators Association run the workshop "An Introductory Course in Asthma Education and Asthma Management for Health Professionals in February and June of each year.

The course is described as a 5 day course that has been designed to provide health professionals with the knowledge and competences to effectively design and conduct asthma education programs for their particular target group/s. The workshop has been designed using the Asthma Educators Association (NSW), Standards for Asthma Educators as its framework.
