Range of Services:
Canterbury Hospital is a metropolitan hospital with links to Concord Repatriation General and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and the University of Sydney, offering a wide range of health services to the 135,000 people in the Local Government Area of Canterbury.

Approximately 68.8% of the population is from non-English speaking backgrounds, with the predominant countries of origin being Lebanon, China, Greece, Vietnam, Italy and Korea.

The hospital, located about 12 kilometres from the centre of Sydney was completely rebuilt in 1998 at a cost of $80 million. We provide 24 hour emergency services, general medicine, intensive care, surgery, pædiatrics, obstetrics and gynæcology, coronary care, day surgery, diagnostic services including C.T. scanner, and ambulatory care. All parts of the hospital are air-conditioned and underground parking for staff is available.

The hospital has a strong reputation as a learning environment for health practitioners of all disciplines. Teaching facilities includes CIAP access in every clinical area, a 100-seat lecture theatre and a video conferencing facility.

Limited short-term single room en-suite accommodation may be available.

Community Health services and a Tresillian Family Care Unit are co-located on the Canterbury site.
