Younger Hunger (YHUNGER) Nutrition Kit

Comprises the Community Nutrition Team (Community Health Services), Community Aged Care Nutritionists (see General Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services web-page) and Community HIV-Aids Dietitian (see HIV-Aids Allied Health Team web-page).

The Community Nutrition Team plans, implements and evaluates nutrition programs and research within CSAHS. Nutrition health promotion sessions can be provided on request. The team consists of 2 ½ full-time positions, and targets the areas of: early childhood; school-aged children and adolescents; and aged care.

Individual clinical services are only available with early childhood nutritionist. The early childhood nutritionist also provides a telephone service for clients.

Early Childhood Health Centre Dietitian's Clinics

· Clinics held at: Ashfield, Lakemba, Leichhardt, Marrickville, and Strathfield Early Childhood Health Centres once a month on a Wednesday.

· Who is eligible: Children aged 5 years or under (who have not yet started school) and who live in CSAHS. Contact the local early childhood health centre nurses for appointments.

· Cost involved: all services are confidential and free of charge. No Medicare card required.
