Community Health Services seek to promote, protect and maintain the health of all people living and working within the boundaries of Central Sydney Area Health Service.
Community Health Services are multidisciplinary. They include illness prevention, health promotion, screening for and early detection of health problems and illness, treatment and palliative care. Services are provided to individuals, families and small groups. Services may be centre, school or home based.
Community Health Services are organised into specific teams. These include:
Services are provided through four Community Health Centres, three community nursing centres, two youth health centres and nineteen early childhood centres. A number of services are also provided from the RPAH campus.
Services are provided across the age spectrum from new-born to frail aged, dependent upon the nature of the service.
